Pro Dive Cairns, an Australian Dive School and Outer Reef liveaboard dive operator, specialized in part in PADI dive courses and liveaboard dive trips for certified divers, is hiring. The dive school and scuba diving center are looking for English and German speaking dive course instructors to work at the Great Barrier Reef. The company operates 3 custom built, multi million dollar liveaboard dive vessels to provide ideal way to exploring the Australia's Great Barrier Reef. For clients wishing to get trained and PADI certified in scuba diving, the Pro Dive Cairns is the premium dive school in Cairns. This is a PADI 5 Star Training and Instructor Development centre, providing the high standard dive education. Pro Dive Cairn's modern dive centre boasts excellent diver training facilities with 3 air-conditioned classrooms and a large, 4 metre deep, heated training pool.

Resposibilities:
Primary responsibility extends to all PADI Dive courses conducted on a vessel operated by Pro Dive Cairns. Course Instructors also are responsible for ensuring that all PADI courses are conducted up to the standards outlined in the PADI Instructor manual.

Qualifications:

• Current teaching status as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or higher rating
• A current AS 2299 Diving Medical
• A valid/current Senior first aid certification
• A valid/current (12 months) certification in Oxygen Resuscitation
• A valid motor vehicle driver license, held for a minimum of three years
• Instructor specialty rating in the following areas:
• Night Diving
• Deep Diving
• Underwater Photography
• Any other PADI Specialty
• Occupational Health and Safety at Sea

In addition to the said qualifications, the position of course instructor requires: good knowledge of all PADI courses, good sales skills, a boating background or sound knowledge of boats and boating skills, ability to effectively manage people, excellent communication skills, excellent team worker, very customer orientated, outgoing but not overbearing personality, ability to use their own initiative and work unsupervised.
