Mastering rowing techniques - not as hard as it looks

News from Cape Coral Rowing Club: Cape Coral, FL based rowing club started Head Race Season with a strong showing at the Sarasota 5000. The Cape Coral Rowing Club racing teams (CCRC) recently traveled to Osprey, Florida, home of the Sarasota Scullers to attend their inaugural Sarasota 5000 Headrace on Saturday, October 3. The Scholastic and Masters members trained hard to improve their rowing technique for this race and it showed with the teams receiving medals in all races entered. The Scholastic team and did very well in several events. The High School (HS) Boys 4+ came in second place, the girls HS 4+ came in third place, and the mixed HS 8+ came in third place. Many new CCRC Scholastic rowers who attended summer rowing camp, competed for the first time and did a great job along with their experienced teammates. Rowers attending were Lynette Andersen, Michelle Demkow, Martha Eckdahl, Kelly Gunter, Aubrey Kuperman, Christopher Chorman, Daniel Digby, Cameron Gunter, Robert Learsch, David Murad, Jake Strauss, Kolton Swink and Justin Taylor. Cape Coral Rowing Club has two Sweep Rowing Programs available. The Scholastic Program is open to all high school students and The Masters/Adult program for 18 and older.
